Are You A Winner?
The winning
numbers were drawn for Wednesday's $448 million Powerball Jackpot. Many rushed to the nearest store to
put in their bid to win before 9 PM. As
the numbers were announced, many felt a rush of adrenaline, feelings of excitement,
hope, worry, nervousness and anxiety as they anticipated hearing their numbers
called. Many contemplated what would I
do first? What I would buy? Should I
quit my job? Many were spending the money “in their mind” before they actually
won. I even thought about what the first thing I’d do if I won. When they realized that they weren’t the winner,
many went pouting, cursing, complaining and just being a sour puss. Some past winners
have invested wisely while others have squandered their winnings. What would
you do if you won?
I didn’t win, nor did I play. Just because I didn’t
win, doesn’t mean that I won’t. I’m a Winner at Life and Love. For every
day that I wake up and have breath, there is added value to my life. I’m rich
in more areas than one. Do I want to be rich financially? Of
Course! Who doesn’t?
Should you play next
time around or give up on your chances of winning? The choice is yours. So, will
you be playing in any of the next jackpots?
As the New York Lottery saying goes, “Hey, you never know.”
When it comes to reaching personal goals in life, I don’t
want to be a Loser. I want to do what it
takes to reach them. I can’t give up.
Not now, not ever. I made a decision
that each day I will do something that will get me closer to my goals. Whether it involves my relationships with
family and friends, my health or my business, I will ensure that I will be a
better me. One of my goals is to Empower
myself and help others do the same.
Whatever your goals
may be, do what you have to do to achieve them. Don’t procrastinate, don’t give
up and don’t think of yourself as a Loser.
Don’t underestimate what you’re capable of. If you don’t succeed today,
try again tomorrow and keep trying until you succeed.
“You were Born to Win, but to be a Winner, you must Plan to Win, Prepare to Win, and Expect to Win.” – Zig Ziglar
Remember, You can win, You are a Winner!
Wishing you Health, Wealth, & Love,

My Addiction! ... (Here's a Blog I wrote in 2012)
My Addiction...
It’s all dressed up
looking mighty fancy, just waiting for me to get close. Butterflies are fluttering in my stomach and I
just can’t wait. The tantalizing aroma is drawing me in. I feel like my knees
are about to buckle. I’m mesmerized by its
intriguing scent. My body starts to tingle.
There’s not much more I can take before I make it mine. As I approach it, I can’t help but to lick my
lips, I Want it, I Need it, I Gotta have
it.
FOOD Glorious FOOD!
Many people have some
“type” of addiction. According
to Wikipedia, “Addiction is the continued
use of a mood altering substance or behavior despite adverse dependency
consequences, or a neurological impairment leading to such behaviors. Addictions can include, but are not limited to, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, exercise
abuse, pornography and gambling. Classic hallmarks of addiction include:
impaired control over substances/behavior, preoccupation with
substance/behavior, continued use despite consequences, and denial.[3]
Habits and patterns associated with addiction are typically
characterized by immediate gratification (short-term reward), coupled with
delayed deleterious effects (long-term costs).[4] Physiological dependence occurs when the body has to
adjust to the substance by incorporating the substance into its 'normal'
functioning.[5]
This state creates the conditions of tolerance and withdrawal. Tolerance is
the process by which the body continually adapts to the substance and requires
increasingly larger amounts to achieve the original effects.
Withdrawal refers to physical and psychological symptoms people experience
when reducing or discontinuing a substance the body had become dependent on.
Symptoms of withdrawal generally include but are not limited to anxiety,
irritability, and intense cravings for the substance, nausea, hallucinations,
headaches, cold sweats, and tremors.”
I know that was a mouthful but I wanted you to know what addiction
means. Talking about food, watching food
on T.V., looking through magazines or even hearing commercials about food on
the radio can cause me to salivate. Sad but true. I’ve decided that I’m not going to let the
thought of food control me. I am going to take control of my thoughts.
No I’m not going into rehab but I will eat less of it. To help me eat less, I take supplements every
day to keep me feel full and reduce
my cravings for my addiction to food. For the next 30 days, I will not focus
on my addiction to food and will curb my eating by enjoying
healthy & delicious Fruit & Vegetable Smoothies. I will prepare these smoothies myself and will
drink half of my body weight in water daily.
Let’s hope that I don’t suffer with any withdrawal symptoms.
My name is Johanna and I have an addiction to FOOD. Admission is the first step to recovery! Thankfully Help is available.

Dare to Dream!
Dare To Dream!
Dare
To Dream!
I like to call myself
a dreamer. I love to dream about what I’d like to see in my
future. I see my future very different
from my past. Certain things in my past are dead and I wouldn’t dare to speak
of them, so instead I speak life into my future. I think of things that are positive, healthy,
comforting, uplifting, prosperous and empowering. During good days and bad days I have to
empower myself and change my mindset by not allowing the pressures of this
world to get to me. Although difficult I have to keep dreaming that things will
get better, not just for me but for everyone.
I used to dream about being a wife, and now I am a
wife (2 years and counting). I used to
dream about seeing myself in a healthier light. After 3 surgeries in 3 years I
was very sedentary. Was not able to walk without the use of a cane and due to
adverse reactions to medication and lack of mobility I gained an enormous
amount of weight. In four years I managed to gain 60 pounds. During that time frame I went through
moments where I wanted to give up on getting healthier. I stopped dreaming of reaching my health
goals. After looking at my wedding
pictures, although beautiful, it didn’t make me happy. I made the decision that
I’m going to do what it takes to transform my life when it comes to my health. In
a year, with the help of diet, exercise and the use of healthy supplements, I went from a Scrumptious 16 to a Tasty 10. I now dream of being a Succulent 6. I won’t stop dreaming and neither should you.
Are you dreaming to
become a singer, actor, or fashion model? Take some singing lessons, acting lessons or start
working on your portfolio. You can work in front of the camera or behind
it. Dreaming of love, marriage and
children? It can all be yours, just dare to dream. “The future belongs to those who believe in
the beauty of their dreams…” –
Eleanor Roosevelt
Do you want to make a
change in the world? Dream! Want a
better job or a rewarding career? Dream!
Want to be in love and loved in return?
Dream! Do you want the house of your dreams, car of your dreams, or man/woman of your dreams? Then Dream, Dream and Dream
some more. I Dare You to!
Don’t let small minds
convince you that your dreams are too
big. If you’re going to Dream you
might as well Dream Big! Don’t be
hopeless but be hopeful. Believe that
you will achieve your dreams and that
you will reach your goals. Don’t subject
yourself to a defeatist mentality.
You’re not a victim but a victor. Don’t succumb to the belief that you CAN’T do
it. Turn your cant’s into cans and
your dreams into plans. All things are possible to those that believe. Turn your dreams
into your reality.
“You block your dream when you allow your fear to grow
bigger than your faith”. - Mary Manin Morissey
I encourage you to Dare
to Dream… I do!

Wealth and Love!

Have Courage! ... (Written in 2012)
Have Courage!
"Physical
courage" is courage in the face of
physical pain, hardship, death, or threat of death, while "moral courage" is the ability
to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal, or
discouragement.”
When it comes to making a
decision that will impact one’s life, having courage is usually
a factor. You can struggle with the
decision to start a new job/career, pursue or commit to a relationship,
purchase your first home, relocate, or just get out of your comfort zone.
When
I decided to take action on reaching my health goals, I knew that I couldn’t punk
out on my promise to myself. Whether I
had a crowd standing by my side or I had to go on this journey alone, I knew
that I had to put my big girl panties on and have courage. I took it
one day at a time. I knew that before I
can walk I’d have to crawl. So I started walking for 20 minutes a day until I
built up the momentum to walk for 30 minutes, then for an hour. My walks turned into jogs and my jogs turned
into runs. That became my form of
exercise.
In the Summer of 2011, I was introduced to an
all-natural food supplement.
I heard how a lot of people were having incredible results. You had to
take it twice a day every day for 30 days in order to be successful with this
product. I was skeptical at first but it
was a risk that I was going to take. I
decided that I was not going to be a punk and I was going to have courage.
The
pounds didn’t come on overnight so I knew that they wouldn’t come off overnight
as well. I’d take 2 capsules before
lunch and another 2 capsules before dinner.
It made me full which caused me to eat less and I started to lose not
only pounds but inches too. Some people
thought I couldn’t do it. Some thought I didn’t have the willpower or the
courage. I have proved the doubters
wrong. I went from a Scrumptious 16 to a
now Tasty 10. I’m working my way down
to a Succulent 6. I believe that I can
do it and I am empowering myself
with the tools to make it happen.
Have
courage
in the midst of criticism. Have it when
folks doubt your ability, doubt your strength and don’t see your vision. No matter what you’re going through give
yourself a challenge. Trust and believe that you’ll make it.
“The best way to accomplish something
is to just do it, and then find the courage afterward.”- George Chapman
I encourage you to have Courage!
Wishing you Health, Wealth & Love
Change Your Mind, Change Your World!
“Change
is good”, is what we’ve heard folks say.
I believe that Change is good when it’s
beneficial to You.
Today I was listening to Bishop T.D. Jakes speak and he said something that
really caught my attention. He said, “If
you want to Change your World, You have to Change Your Mind.”
That statement is currently resonating with me. What I got from it, was that if
I want to change my surroundings, change my
circumstances, or make a change to my life; I am
Responsible to make that change. Immediately, the biblical principle, “Be
transformed by the renewing of your mind” also came to my thoughts. By changing the process of my thinking, it
will enable the change I want to see in “my” world.
I want to be healthy
and would like for everyone to be healthy as well. Therefore I am making the
necessary changes in my life to be
healthy. I encourage others to do the
same. Having a positive mindset about
health can be challenging, especially when you don’t receive immediate results.
I will be sure to clear my mind of all negative energy. I will see myself as a
healthier person and will do what is required to live a healthier lifestyle in
order for the change in my health to take place.
I want World Peace, Who doesn’t? I can think peaceful
thoughts and pray for peace. I may not be able to systematically make changes in the entire planet but
I can be at peace with those I interact with, be kind to others and promote the
idea of peace in hope that peaceful acts will go viral around the world.
What in your life do you want to change? You may feel
that you don’t need a change but just in case you do, be sure to Change your Mind just before you Change your World. By doing
so, you can empower the world with change.
